Acting Course Terms and Conditions

Agreement

  • The terms and conditions of this agreement entered into by the Business and the Client is for the provision of acting training services.
  • Business being Adelaide Artist Management (hereinafter referred to as AAM)
  • Client/Clientele being the persons who have initialed as the Student/Parent and/or Legal Guardian on the terms and conditions below:

Enrolment

  • Students under the age of eighteen (18) must have the written consent of their parent or guardian to enrol.
  • Students with or without agents or any form of representation are welcome to enrol.
  • Students may join at the start of any term, as the rotating syllabus allows new students to integrate smoothly.
  • Courses are suitable for beginner through to advanced actors.
  • AAM reserves the right to modify course information, including fees, rates, dates, and times, without prior notice.
  • Students and/or their parents or guardians acknowledge that they have reviewed and agreed they are physically and mentally capable of attending and safely participating in class activities.
  • AAM reserves the right to refuse entry or participation in any of its classes, courses, or workshops if it is deemed necessary for the safety or wellbeing of the student or others.

Payment Policy

  • Full payment of course fees is due at the time of enrolment, and the client is responsible for making this payment.
  • Payments can be made via credit/debit card, electronic bank transfer, AfterPay, PayPal or cash.
  • If payment is not received by the due date, AAM reserves the right to withhold class access until payment is cleared. Late payments may incur additional fees.
  • Clients agreeing to a payment plan must adhere to the agreed schedule. Failure to meet instalment deadlines may result in suspension from classes until outstanding fees are paid.
  • Clients with unpaid fees will remain liable for the full amount, and AAM reserves the right to pursue recovery through legal or debt collection means if necessary.
  • Should AAM make changes to course dates, times, or content, fees already paid will be retained, and AAM may substitute similar course components at its discretion.
  • The prices displayed will be the total purchase price inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

 

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • More than 14 working days prior to the course start date: You are entitled to a full refund of all fees paid.
  • For cancellations with a minimum of 10 days’ notice prior to the start of the term: All fees paid will be held by AAM as a credit to use towards a future course.
  • Cancellations made with less than 10 days’ notice before the start of the term: full fees will be retained by AAM.
  • No refunds or makeup sessions will be issued or be able to be transferred to another term for any missed session dates.
  • If a student is found to be in serious breach of AAM’s Terms and Conditions and is no longer permitted to participate in classes, all fees paid will be forfeited and are non-refundable.

Copyright & Media

  • All original images or video footage taken during classes or workshops remain the property of AAM.
  • Images and footage may not be reproduced, copied, manipulated, or sold under any circumstances.
  • AAM may use images or footage featuring students for promotional purposes including website, social media, and print or digital advertising.
  • Only AAM determines which images or footage are selected for editing, publishing, or printing.
  • Subcontracted photographers/videographers must be credited by name if their supplied images or footage are posted on social media.
  • Images or footage must not be altered in any way, including filters or editing software.
  • Filmed class footage is for internal training purposes only and will not be provided to students.

Privacy

  • AAM collects and stores personal information provided by students and/or their parents or guardians for the purposes of enrolment, communication, and the provision of acting courses and services.
  • All personal information is treated confidentially and stored in a secure manner suitable to the information collected, in line with applicable privacy laws.
  • Personal information will not be shared with third parties except where required for the delivery of courses, workshops, or legal obligations.
  • Students and parents/guardians have the right to request access to, or correction of, their personal information held by AAM.
  • By enrolling in courses, clients consent to the collection, storage, and use of their personal information as described above.

Insurance & Liability

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they hold adequate insurance for travel to/from class and participation at all locations.
  • AAM does not provide medical, accident, or personal insurance for students.
  • AAM will take reasonable care in the event of illness or injury but is not responsible for medical, ambulance, hospital, dental, or treatment costs, or for acts or omissions of medical professionals.

Youth Student Policies

  • Please note all AAM staff hold valid Working With Children Checks (WWCC).
  • Parents/guardians must enter the premises to collect youth students.
  • AAM must be notified in advance if a different person will be collecting a youth student.
  • If teenage students travel home independently, parents/guardians must notify AAM prior to class.

Representation

  • Participation in AAM classes does not imply or guarantee professional representation by AAM.
  • Enrolling in our courses does not automatically provide acting opportunities or agency representation.
  • If we determine that you meet the requirements for a professional opportunity, we will contact you.

Communication

All communication should be directed through the agency’s official contact email: info@adelaideartistmanagement.com. Please do not contact teachers directly.

Classroom Conduct

  • Do not move or tamper with studio equipment without permission.
  • Keep the studio clean by disposing of rubbish and returning props or equipment after use.
  • The office area is off-limits to students.
  • Mobile phones may only be used for medical purposes.
  • Recording, photographing, or sharing any part of class sessions is strictly prohibited without prior consent from instructors and participants.
  • Follow all safety protocols and be mindful of both physical and emotional boundaries.
  • Students must wear appropriate attire that allows safe movement and full participation.
  • NO food, drink (other than water), drugs, or alcohol are permitted on the premises.
  • Students must bring their own water bottle.
  • Students are not permitted to leave the premises during class.

Suspension

If a student breaches any of AAM’s Terms and Conditions, they may be asked to cease participation in classes.

Personal Property

AAM is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or damaged personal belongings on premises.

Important Attendance

  • Doors open 5 minutes prior to the start of class, unless another class is running immediately before. Please do not enter the studio earlier, as this can distract other students.
  • Arrive on time and be fully prepared for your session.
  • Regular attendance is essential for your learning and for group/scene work. Consistent participation helps ensure all students can progress and teachers can plan effectively.
  • Only enrolled students are permitted to attend classes or sessions. AAM is unable to supervise or care for siblings, other relatives or friends of enrolled students.
  • Classes will continue to run on public holidays.

Class Replacement & Scheduling

  • If a teacher or agent is unable to run a scheduled class, a replacement instructor or make-up class will be arranged where possible.
  • If a replacement or rescheduled class cannot be arranged, a full refund for the missed session will apply.
  • Should AAM be unable to provide a specific part of a course, it may replace it with an equivalent component at its discretion.

Absentee & Illness Protocol

  • If you are unable to attend due to illness or unforeseen events, please notify the office via email: info@adelaideartistmanagement.com so the teacher can be informed in advance.
  • Non-illness-related absences significantly affect scene and partner work. We appreciate your support in maintaining consistent attendance wherever possible.
  • Makeup sessions or refunds are not provided for missed classes, absences, or changes of mind during the term.
  • Do not attend classes if you are unwell with COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms (e.g., fever, cough, runny nose, body aches, shortness of breath).
  • Masks are no longer required but may be worn if preferred.

Hot Weather or Emergency Policies

  • AAM will not cancel classes due to hot weather or humidity.
  • On days exceeding 40°C, high-intensity physical activities will be minimised to ensure student safety.
  • In the event of an emergency, extreme weather, or COVID-19 lockdown, classes may be moved online at AAM’s discretion.

Change of Contact Details

If a parent or guardian changes their contact details, please inform AAM as soon as possible to ensure we can communicate important information regarding your child’s classes.
