A self-tape is a recorded audition that actors submit digitally to casting directors for consideration for TV, film, commercial and theatre roles. It replaces in-person auditions and must meet strict industry standards for framing, lighting, sound and performance.

Prior to your session, please email us your casting brief and sides so we can prepare appropriately for your self-tape.

All actors must arrive with their lines fully memorised. Casting directors expect to see a natural, uninterrupted performance without scripts in hand or off-camera prompting. 

Wear simple, character-appropriate clothing in neutral tones. Avoid bold patterns, logos, stripes or bright white. We recommend bringing two wardrobe options where appropriate so we can select the most suitable look on the day.

Yes. An experienced reader will be provided to read opposite you so you can fully focus on your performance and connection.

Yes. We aim for 2–4 strong takes depending on time and casting requirements. However, preparation is key, being memorised and ready allows us to use our time effectively and capture your best work.

Yes. Your self-tape will be professionally framed, lit, recorded and edited to industry standard. Submission can be arranged where required, or the file supplied to you directly.

Self-tapes are typically supplied same day or within 24 hours, depending on submission deadlines and session volume.

Yes. Parents are welcome for younger actors. However, we do ask that only one parent attends and that the studio environment remains quiet and focused during filming.
