Frequently asked questions

Do children need experience?

No prior acting experience is required. Our screen acting workshops are designed for beginners through to more experienced students. All exercises are fully guided and tailored to each child’s comfort and ability level, ensuring every student feels supported and included.

Is the workshop suitable for shy kids?

Yes absolutely!  Many of our students begin feeling shy or nervous, and that is completely normal. Our workshops are run in a positive, gentle and encouraging environment, with simple, confidence-building exercises designed to help children feel comfortable, supported and proud of their progress. Participation is always at the child’s pace.

Will my child be filmed?

Yes. Children will take part in simple, guided on-camera exercises and scene work designed to gently introduce them to filming while building confidence and screen awareness. Filming is always conducted in a supportive and age-appropriate way.

What should my child bring?

Please pack:

  • Lunch and snacks
  • Water bottle
  • Any provided scene work (if applicable)
  • Comfortable, neutral clothing suitable for movement and closed toe shoes

We recommend avoiding clothing with large logos or bold patterns.

Is there a break during the day?

Yes. We include regular short breaks throughout the day, as well as a dedicated lunch break on both workshop days. Student wellbeing and energy levels are always a priority.

Will parents receive footage?

Yes. Each child will receive their selected filmed scene via a downloadable file a few weeks after the workshop. This is a wonderful keepsake and can also be used as part of their learning and development.

Is this a drop-off workshop?

Yes, our workshops are drop-off only to help students build independence, focus and confidence. Parents are, of course, welcome to speak with our team before and after the workshop if needed.

Do students receive feedback?

Yes. Every participant receives individual guidance and feedback throughout the workshop. Our tutors provide supportive notes on performance, confidence, on-camera technique and character work to help each student grow and understand their strengths.

Can this lead to further training?

Yes, absolutely! Students who enjoy the workshop and wish to continue their training may be invited to join our term-based Youth Acting Program, where they can further develop their skills in a structured, ongoing environment.
