AAM is beyond excited to welcome back Mark Fantasia for an exclusive 1 Day Adult Screen Acting Masterclass.
This intensive one-day masterclass offers a rare opportunity to work closely with a highly experienced, working actor. Mark’s approach is grounded in truth, connection, and practical techniques that actors can immediately apply to their screen work.

Experience required: None! Suitable for beginners, emerging and professional performers. All welcome.

Throughout the day, participants will workshop scenes on camera, receive personalised direction, and gain clear, actionable feedback to strengthen their performances and audition technique.
Preparation:
Scenes will be provided in advance. Actors are expected to arrive fully prepared, ready to explore, take direction, and work at a professional standard.
ABOUT MARK FANTASIA
Mark is an accomplished actor, writer, and director working across Australia and the United States. A graduate of the Flinders University Drama Centre, he was awarded the Helpmann Academy’s Most Outstanding Arts Graduate in 2008 for his work across stage and screen. He is also a founding member of Adelaide’s award-winning Accidental Productions, recognised for Best Ensemble in their Australian premiere of Worlds End.
After relocating to Los Angeles, Mark trained with renowned acting coach Ivana Chubbuck and alongside leading casting professionals, gaining valuable insight into the international industry. His screen credits include The Devil’s Work, directed by Ursula Dabrowsky, as well as appearances in Neighbours, The Tourist, Ladies in Black, and a recurring role in RFDS.

No prior acting experience is required. Our screen acting workshops are designed for beginners through to more experienced students. All exercises are fully guided and tailored to each teen’s comfort and ability level, ensuring every student feels supported and included.
Is the workshop suitable for adults who may feel nervous?
Absolutely! Many adult actors feel nervous or tentative when working on-camera, and that’s completely normal. Our masterclass is conducted in a supportive, encouraging environment, with practical exercises designed to build confidence, presence, and comfort on camera. Participation is always at each actor’s own pace, allowing you to grow and develop in a way that feels right for you.
Will filming take place during the workshop?
Yes. Participants will engage in structured, guided on-camera exercises and scene work designed to introduce practical filming techniques while building confidence, presence, and screen awareness. All filming is conducted in a professional, supportive, and adult-focused environment.
What is required for the workshop?
Please pack:
- Lunch and snacks
- Water bottle
- Any provided scene work (if applicable)
- Comfortable, neutral clothing suitable for movement and closed toe shoes
- Notepad and pen
We recommend avoiding clothing with large logos or bold patterns.
Is there a break during the day?
Yes. We include regular short breaks throughout the day, as well as a dedicated lunch break on both workshop days. Student wellbeing and energy levels are always a priority.
Do we receive the footage?
Yes. Each student will receive their selected filmed scene via a downloadable file a few weeks after the workshop. This is a wonderful keepsake and can also be used as part of their learning and development.
Do students receive feedback?
Yes. Every participant receives individual guidance and feedback throughout the workshop. Our tutors provide supportive notes on performance, confidence, on-camera technique and character work to help each student grow and understand their strengths.
Can this lead to further training?
