Studio Hire Terms and Conditions

Agreement

  • By booking studio hire with Adelaide Artist Management (AAM), the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions. The term “Hirer” refers to the individual, company, or parent/guardian booking the studio, including any minors involved.

Booking Requirements

  • Your booking time includes setup and pack down. Please ensure you schedule sufficient time and arrive on time.
  • The studio must be vacated and packed up by the scheduled finish time. Additional time beyond the booked slot will be charged at $100 + GST per hour.
  • All areas used must be left in the condition provided. A cleaning fee of $250 + GST will be charged if the studio is not left satisfactorily.
  • The Hirer may not sub-contract, sub-let, or allow untrained personnel to operate studio equipment. Equipment may not be removed or modified outside manufacturer recommendations.

Payment Policy

  • Full payment is required to secure your booking. Confirmation will be emailed once payment is received.
  • Accepted payment methods include EFT, debit/credit card, cash, PayPal, and AfterPay.
  • If payment is not received by the due date, AAM reserves the right to cancel or refuse the booking.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Bookings may be cancelled up to 7 days before the scheduled hire, subject to availability.
  • Cancellations with less than 7 days’ notice will incur the full hire fee.
  • Failure to attend a confirmed booking without notice will result in loss of the full hire fee.
  • AAM reserves the right to reschedule or cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances, with the session rearranged to the nearest mutually suitable date.

Exclusive Use & Private Functions

  • If exclusive use is required, please notify AAM prior to booking.
  • While exclusive use may be granted, common areas such as kitchens and bathrooms are shared with staff.
  • Hirers of private functions must bring all required equipment, furniture, lighting, decorations, and cleaning products. Minimal equipment is available for hire.

Damages and Loss

  • Use of the studio and equipment is at the Hirer’s own risk. The Hirer waives any right to seek legal redress for mishaps, accidents, or loss while on the premises.
  • The Hirer must leave the studio and adjacent grounds in the same condition as they were found. Any damage to the studio, furniture, fixtures, equipment, or property must be reported immediately and will be repaired or replaced at the Hirer’s expense. A cleaning fee of $250 + GST will be charged if the studio is left in an unsatisfactory condition.
  • The Hirer is solely responsible for any legal infractions caused by themselves or members of their party during studio use, including parking tickets, violations, citations, or other legal actions.
  • The Hirer is solely responsible for the conduct and welfare of all persons accompanying them, including staff, talent, clients, and guests.
  • If AAM staff observe dangerous, pornographic or negligent activities, they reserve the right to immediately cease studio use and require the Hirer and their party to leave. AAM assumes no responsibility for acting in such cases.
  • AAM and its staff are not liable for the death or injury of any person using the studio, nor for any loss, damage, claim, demand, action, proceeding, cost or expense incurred by the hirer or their guests during studio use.

Indemnity & Liability

  • AAM insures the studio premises and their own equipment for standard insurable risks only. Hirers are responsible for their own equipment, personal property, and third-party property they bring.
  • Hirers agree to indemnify AAM against costs, damages, legal fees, fines, or losses arising from breach of this agreement.
  • AAM is not liable for acts beyond its control, such as power outages, weather, or emergencies. Partial refunds or rescheduling may be offered at AAM’s discretion.
  • AAM may terminate bookings at any time if terms are breached or unforeseen circumstances prevent the Hirer from using the studio.

Safety & Conduct

  • Hirers must comply with all reasonable directions from AAM to ensure safety.
  • Excessive noise is prohibited; please respect other tenants and staff.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises.
  • Minors must be supervised at all times.

Studio Usage & Care

  • Sweep floors, remove marks, and return all equipment to original locations.
  • Use drop cloths for messy activities to protect the studio.
  • Cyclorama must be treated with care.
  • Sound recording is achievable but not guaranteed to be of any standard. We recommend you inspect the studio to determine suitability.

Studio Availability & Booking Times

  • The studio is available for hire 7 days a week, 7am–11pm.
  • All booking times are inclusive of setup and pack down.

Parking

  • Three car parking spaces are available at the front of the building (spaces 1–3 only).
  • All other parking belongs to other tenants; please do not park in their allocated spaces.
  • On-street parking is available on Montrose Avenue, Fullarton Road, The Parade, Boskenna Avenue, and Charles Street.
